To the Editor:

I read with great interest your editorial, "Where did I see that paper?"  I'm sure I shall one day use a quote from it: "Complete storage and cross-referencing are features that lie in the never-never land of good intentions."

I might point out that I learned of your editorial by our ASCA system which is partly based on the concept of citation indexing.  Though imperfect, you see, the system does work, as your reference to Vannevar Bush's "Memex" was the clue the system used to jog its memory.
