Both previous commissions incorporated ceramic painting in the mosaic murals. They gave me a push to further explore painting on tiles. A series of single tile birds, then cats, then faces was inadequate. Besides the fear of attempting larger works was the cost of materials and firing time charges by the tile factory. Would could I paint that would be fun and saleable? A few drawings from art school were still around. These were transferred on to tile and a couple sold.
