Bill Granizo - An Autobiography in Pictures
![]() On Christmas eve everyone went to church entering on the side door. After mass, dad gave Jerry and me a small rubber ball saying "you are old enough to know that there is neither Santa Claus nor Three Wise Men. Fathers have to buy presents and this year we are poor so you must share the ball." But there was money to have our picture taken sitting on the fountain at the Alameda. The photo was the Christmas present for our aunt Chenta in San Francisco. The park was highly decorated for the holidays and on the Twelfth Night all the other kids were having their pictures taken on a large make-believe camel. Mom said "it's too bad that we didn't think of having the picture taken with the camel." But it was too late. |
